How to Place an Order on the Slender Morris Website
This guide outlines the complete process for logging in and placing a fabric order.
1. How to Log In
- Navigate to the website and click "Sign In" in the top-right corner.
- Your username is your email address. Enter your username and password.
- Don't have a login? Email orders@slendermorris.com to request access.
2. Finding & Adding Fabric to Your Cart
There are two primary ways to find fabrics:
Method A: Direct Search
- If you know the fabric name (e.g., "Milan Marble"), type it into the main search bar.
- Because you are logged in, you will see the current stock quantity and your wholesale price.
- Click the fabric to proceed.
Method B: Browse by Collection
- Navigate to Products > Order and View All The Fabrics.
- Select the collection you want to view (e.g., "Country Journal").
- Click on the desired fabric.
Note on Stock: You will see if the fabric is "Indent" or if there is stock available in Sydney. If no stock is shown (for the indent fabric), the standard lead time is 2-3 weeks for indent fabrics.
3. Ordering the Correct Quantity (IMPORTANT)
The website's quantity field only accepts whole numbers (e.g., 5, 6) and does not accept decimals (e.g., 5.5).
RULE: If you require a fractional quantity (e.g., 5.5 metres), you must round UP to the next whole number (we will correct this in the next step)
Example: To order 5.5 metres, you must enter 6 in the quantity box.
- Click "Add to Cart". We will correct this in the next step.
4. The Checkout Process & Specifying Exact Lengths
- Click the shopping trolley icon in the top-right corner to review your cart.
CRITICAL STEP: Correcting Quantities & Adding Cuts
- For each fabric in your cart, click the "Add Comments" link.
- A text box will appear. Here, you must specify your actual required length and any cutting instructions.
- Example Comment: Only require 5.5 m. 2 x cuts.
- Click "OK" to save the comment. Repeat for all items.
- After adding all comments, you MUST click the "Update Shopping Cart" button to save these notes to your order.
- Once ready, click "Checkout".
5. Finalising Your Order (The 5 Checkout Steps)
Step 1: Account Details
- This will be pre-filled with your information.
Step 2: Delivery Address
- Your default business address will be selected.
- To ship directly to a workroom, click "Ship to Different Company" and fill in their details.
Step 3: Shipping Method
- "Standard" is the only option.
Step 4: Payment Method
- On Account: Choose this to have the order processed on your normal payment terms.
- Credit Card: Choose this to pay for the order immediately via our secure payment gateway.
Step 5: Confirm Order
- Enter your Purchase Order (PO) number or customer name in the reference field.
- DO NOT enter a "preferred delivery date." Leave this field blank.
- Click "Confirm Order" to submit.
6. After Your Order is Placed
- You will see an order confirmation screen with your new order number.
- You will receive a Sales Order Confirmation via email, which will include the estimated shipping date from our Sydney warehouse.
